Patient health information will not be transferred by email– as it is not an encrypted communication medium. Telephone calls that are urgent will be assessed and transferred to a nurse or doctor immediately. For all other calls, reception will note your message and it was be passed on to the doctor and then actioned as per their orders. Telephone consultations and home visits by the doctors at Mount Medical Centre can be made for regular patients only. Please call the clinic at your earliest to make a booking. If for some reason, we are unable to give an appointment, please call Nurse On Callon 1300 60 60 24. It is a telephone helpline that provides immediate expert health advice from a registered nurse, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At the end of the call the nurse may suggest ways you can care for yourself, advise when to see a General Practitioner or may transfer the call to 000. After hours (Weekdays 6pm-8am, Saturday 12pm-Monday 8am) and on public holidays (All Hours), a locum service (home doctor service) is available. You may also receive texts/calls in regards to preventative health services appropriate to your care. SMSs are only sent with patient content.
