Mount Medical Centre is a medical practice orientated towards family medicine, men’s & woman’s health and preventative medicine in an accessible, professional and comfortable atmosphere. We are equipped with all the modern medical equipment required for a general practice, with our doctors and nurses trained in their use.
This practice bulkbills all DVA, Pension and Healthcare card holders along with children below 16 year of age. Other patients will have an out of pocket cost varying according to the day, time, appointment type and length of appointment. Refer to the “Fees” section for more information.
This practice ensures that your information is secure by having access to it restricted to only those with proper authorisation. For more information you can request for a copy of our Privacy Policy at the reception.
For all ABORIGINAL AND/OR TORRES STRAIT ISLANDERS, Medicare funded health assessments with referrals to Allied Healthcare personnel are available to identify healthcare needs and ongoing healthcare and community services requirements.
IMMUNISATIONS
All routine childhood vaccinations are available and all records are directly sent to ACIR (Australian Child Immunization Register).
Travel vaccination information is available upon request.
Check with the clinic staff for Flu and COVID vaccine availability.
HOME VISIT & AFTER HOURS
Doctors may consider making home visits within the immediate area for regular patients if they are too ill or unable to attend the clinic depending on doctor’s availability. After hours & on public holidays, a deputizing locum service is available by calling Doctor Doctor 13 26 60.
TRANSFER OF MEDICAL RECORDS
If you wish to transfer your medical records to another service provider, please inquire at the reception. Extensive records will incur a fee.
REMINDER SYSTEMS AND REGISTERS
This clinic has a recall and reminder system in place and you may receive reminder/recall notices periodically offering you preventive health services appropriate to your care.
With your consent, some of your health information might be passed on to a National Register or a state based Reminder System. This will only be done with your consent and is aimed at providing a health promotion and illness prevention system.
INTERPRETERS
In the event you need an interpreter, please let us know when booking an appointment.
PATIENTS WITH HEARING DISABILITIES
Please consult our reception staff to make arrangements for having a professional interpreter from National Australian Interpreter Booking and Payment Service (NABS) or the National Relay Service (NRS).
HEALTH PROMOTION & DISEASE PREVENTION
Our practice has a range of posters, leaflets and brochures about health issues that may be relevant to you on display or in leaflet dispensers in the waiting area and/or in the consulting rooms.
You will also be provided with information by our doctors and clinical staff of the purpose, costs, benefits and risks of proposed referrals, treatment regimens, medications or investigations.
This information is valuable for you to make informed decisions about your healthcare.
COMPLAINTS/FEEDBACK
All patients have the right to make a complaint. Mount Medical Centre value your feedback as it helps us to improve our service levels. You are welcome to make a complaint, suggestion or provide feedback with regards to the treatment at MMC. Please complete the form available at reception and drop it into the Complaints / Suggestions Box at the reception.
